Brooklyn DA's Office Hosting Free Crown Heights Forum on Immigrant Issues
The event will take place at the Brooklyn Children's Museum, and is open to all, regardless of immigration status.
CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — The Brooklyn District Attorney's Office will host a free forum Saturday focused on how immigrants can protect themselves "against fraudulent schemes and bias-motivated crimes," including real estate fraud.
The event is open to everyone, regardless of their immigration status, according to the DA's office.
It will take place on Dec. 17 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Brooklyn Children's Museum, located at 145 Brooklyn Ave.

The forum will be lead by representatives from the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services office, the New York Legal Assistance Group, and the Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs, according to the DA's office.
Representatives from the West Indian American Day Carnival Association, Catholic Charities, Catholic Migration Services, Brightpoint Health and Woodhull Hospital will also be at the event, the DA's office said.
