CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — Police are asking for the public's help to find a car — and the people in it — that are connected to a fatal shooting on Park Place.
The NYPD released video over the weekend of a silver SUV that was seen driving up Howard Avenue that they believe is connected to the death of 32-year-old Shalimar Birkett, who was found shot near the Crown Heights border earlier this month.
Birkett, who lived in Far Rockaway, was found just after 11 p.m. on Park Place near Howard Avenue on May 17, police said. She was taken to Brookdale Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
