NEW YORK, NY — Police are asking the public's help to find a trio of thieves behind at least seven muggings in Brooklyn and Manhattan.

The three suspects — either acting together or individually — have robbed or try to rob seven people across Park Slope, Brownsville, Midtown Manhattan, Crown Heights and Canarsie during a week and a half period earlier this month, according to police.

In all but one of the robberies, the thieves threatened to hurt their victims by asking if they had ever been shot or stabbed before demanding their property, police said.

The spree began on May 7 when one of the suspects came up to a 27-year-old man near Pacific Street and Fourth Avenue in Brooklyn and demanded money. He left with the man's iPhone and $575 in cash sent through Venmo, police said.

A week later, all three suspects came up to a 17-year-old man around 7 p.m. at Penn Plaza and took his iPhone and AirPods, police said.

Two of the suspects then robbed an 18-year-old on a 3 train near Sutter Avenue station in Brooklyn around 9 p.m., police said, taking his credit cards and iPhone.

The last four incidents all happened within a six-hour span on May 17, including two more robberies aboard a 3 train, one in front of a building on West 36th Street in Manhattan and a fourth on an L train in Canarsie, according to police.

Only in one of the 3 train muggings did the suspects leave empty-handed, police said.

Police released photos of two of the three suspects on Wednesday.

Of the two caught on surveillance footage, one is described as being about 20 years old, standing 6'0" tall and weighing about 120 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black sweats, black and white Air Jordan sneakers and black sunglasses.

The second of the two caught on camera is 15 to 18 years old and was last seen wearing a NIKE backpack, black jeans and a black jacket with "SF Racing" on the back of it.

The third suspect, who police did not release a photo of, is about 18 years old, 6'0" tall, 180 pounds and was last seen wearing blue jeans, black sneakers and a gray sweater.

Anyone with information in regard to these incidents is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
