Crown Heights Gambling Den Shooting Leaves 4 Dead, 3 Injured

Police arrived at Triple A Aces Club on Utica Avenue in Crown Heights early Saturday morning. They found four men shot dead, three injured.

CROWN HEIGHTS, NY —Four men are dead after being shot at what officials say was an illegal gambling den early Saturday morning in Crown Heights. Two other men and one woman were also shot. They are expected to survive.

Police were called to the Triple Aces club at 74 Utica Avenue just after 7 a.m..

There were more than a dozen people inside the building when the shooting happened. Officials tell Patch that several have been detained for questioning. Victims were taken to Brookdale Medical Center and Kings County Hospital.

At least two guns were recovered as well as what police say is evidence of gambling including cards and dice.

The location is just blocks from the 77 precinct.

While police say they had not received complaints about gambling there, officials tell patch that the Buildings Department has received complaints of an illegal nightclub operating.
