Crown Heights Shooting Injures 4 People, Police Say

Two people were in critical condition after a shooting in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, police said.

CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — Four people were shot early Monday morning in Crown Heights, leaving two people in critical condition, according to police.

Two men and women were shot outside at Buffalo Avenue and Sterling Place just before 2 a.m. Monday, police said.

Police said a 24-year-old man shot in the left leg and 33-year-old woman shot in the back were in critical condition.

Two others were shot but in stable condition, including a 33-year-old man shot in the chest and a 49-year-old woman shot in the right leg, according to police.

Police said two women were rushed to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center and the men were rushed to Kings County Hospital.

The two men were possibly targeted in for gang-related reasons, though the investigation is ongoing, police said.

Cops don't have any suspects and it is unknown if there was more than one shooter, police said.

The Crown Heights shooting comes a week after one person was killed and 11 injured in a shooting at an "Old Timers" event in Brownsville.
