Delivery Worker Hit And Killed After Crashing In Brooklyn: Cops
The worker was heading down Atlantic Avenue when he hit a median, was flung from his scooter and hit by an SUV, police said.

BROOKLYN, NY — A delivery worker heading down Atlantic Avenue on Sunday died when he was lost control and was flung from his scooter into the roadway, according to police.
The 38-year-old was riding his Kymco scooter east on Atlantic Avenue when he tried to enter the left turn bay near Clermont Avenue and lost control, police said.
The man, who amNY identified as a delivery worker, hit the center median and was thrown from the scooter, police said.

He was then hit by a Volvo that had been driving west on the corridor, police said.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

The Volvo driver stayed on the scene.
The NYPD's Collision Investigation Squad is investigating the crash.
It is one of at least two fatal collisions in Brooklyn over the holiday weekend.
Also on Atlantic Avenue, a 70-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run while he was crossing the street near Nevins Street and Third Avenue on Monday night.
