'Doctor Disguised As Drug Dealer' Pleads Guilty In Brooklyn: Feds
An East Flatbush doctor accused of selling thousands of narcotics for cash pleaded guilty on Monday, prosecutors announced.
BROOKLYN, NY — A "doctor disguised as a drug dealer" in Brooklyn pleaded guilty on Monday to a years-long narcotics scheme, prosecutors announced.
Kesler Dalmacy, 70, was charged with the illegal distribution of controlled substances for selling narcotics from his East Flatbush medical practice in exchange for cash, according to prosecutors.
The doctor illegally prescribed thousands of pills, including Adderall and Vicodin, to patients for six years until investigators caught on in February 2020, prosecutors said.

Dalmacy would postdate prescriptions and provide multiple scrips to the same person under different or fake names to avoid detection, according to officials.
“Another day, another doctor disguised as a drug dealer. The defendant not only prescribed highly addictive controlled substances without a legitimate medical need, but also went out of his way to attempt to evade law enforcement," DEA Special Agent-in-Charge Ray Donovan said.

Dalmacy's arrest is part of an ongoing Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force aimed at disrupting serious drug trafficking, weapons trafficking and money laundering organizations responsible for the nation's illegal drug supply, prosecutors said.
It is also part of the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York's Prescription Drug Initiative, which has resulted in 160 federal and local criminal prosecutions since 2012.
