Food Giveaways Scheduled In Brooklyn Ahead Of Thanksgiving
Three food distribution events are scheduled across the borough this week to help Brooklynites in need of food for the holiday.
CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — Brooklynites in need of food before the Thanksgiving holiday can stop by three events across the borough this week.
State Sen. Zellnor Myrie, whose district wraps around most of Prospect Park, has announced three food distribution events in Crown Heights, Brownsville and Sunset Park.
The events, set up with local organizations and other elected officials, will give away food to those in need ahead of the holiday next Thursday.

They come as the coronavirus has spiked the number of food insecure New Yorkers, and all Americans, by the millions.
