What's Been the Wine Exchange's Most Expensive Bottle?

Recently Patch dropped in on the Wine Exchange on Vanderbilt Ave. in Prospect Heights to ask what the most expensive bottle of spirits they'd ever had for sale there.

"Well right now we have a Dom Perignon for $700," said Andy Tavareva.

But of course that's small potatoes for real connoisseurs.

"I've seen bottles up to $4,000 in here … of Hennessy Timeless, a 100-year-old cognac."

Although if you have that much scratch to throw around, you could also get yourself a month's rent on an apartment in one of the city's swankier neighborhoods. Your call.
