CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — A 59-year-old man is in critical condition after he was shot on the street in Crown Heights last week, police said.

The man was near Kingston Avenue and St. Johns Place when a unidentified man came up to him and fired a gun, hitting the 59-year-old in the abdomen, police said.

The shooter got into a dark sedan with damage to the passenger door and drove away, police said.

The 59-year-old was taken to Kings County Hospital, where he is still in critical condition, according to police.
