BROOKLYN, NY — A 42-year-old man landed in the hospital earlier this month after he was sucker-punched by a stranger at Atlantic Avenue station, according to police.

Police released video early Friday of the moment the man, talking on the phone at the top of the stairs near the B and Q lines, was sucker-punched from behind by his attacker.

The man tries to run down the stairs, but is followed by the stranger. The two scuffle briefly before they move out of view of the surveillance camera, video shows. The stranger walks up the stairs shortly after and walked toward the 4 and 5 lines, police said.
