PROSPECT HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — A new bar may soon open in the Vanderbilt Avenue space once held by Soda Bar, records show.

A company called Gadfly Lounge LLC has applied for a liquor license at the 629 Vanderbilt Ave. space, which sits between St. Marks Avenue and Prospect Place.

The space has been empty since Soda Bar, which was open more than a decade, closed last summer. Before opening as a Soda Bar, the space was a 1930s-era soda fountain and sundae shop.
