No Parking On These Crown Heights Streets This Week
Expect some parking closures as city workers install green stormwater basins all over Crown Heights this week.
CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — Be mindful where you park in Crown Heights for the next few days.
New green infrastructure infiltration basins will be installed this week by city Department of Design and Construction workers, according to a notice circulated by Community Board 8.
The basins essentially catch stormwater and help prevent flooding and overflows.

The notice states curbside parking will temporarily be eliminated and driveway access could be restricted. The construction is scheduled to happen Monday through Friday.
