The victim was threatened on Jan. 23 near the intersection of Lefferts Avenue and Brooklyn Avenue, police said.

PROSPECT-LEFFERTS GARDENS, BROOKLYN — A man in a gold Cadillac Escalade pulled out a gun and threatened to shoot a man after making a comment about Jews, police said.

On Jan. 23 at about 2:40 p.m., the 55-year-old victim of the threat was crossing a street in the vicinity of Lefferts Avenue and Brooklyn Avenue when he encountered the Escalade, which was stopped in a crosswalk, police said.

The pedestrian asked the car's driver to move the vehicle, at which point the driver "asked the victim why he was protecting Jewish people and displayed a firearm," according to the NYPD. The suspect also threatened to shoot the pedestrian "as well as at least one other" person, police said.
