5-Year-Old Struck By BMW In Brooklyn Crash

A 5-year-old boy suffered minor injuries in a pedestrian crash on New York Avenue in Flatbush, the NYPD said. He was taken to the hospital.

FLATBUSH, BROOKLYN—A 5-year-old boy was hit by a BMW in a Brooklyn street Wednesday morning, officials said.

The little boy was struck on the corner of New York and Snyder avenues just after 7:30 a.m., according to police and the FDNY.

A 38-year-old man driving the 2005 blue BMW stopped and stayed at the scene as police and medics arrived, authorities said.

The boy complained of pain to his head, neck and legs and was rushed to Maimonides Hospital, police and the FDNY said.

The preliminary information available indicated his injuries were minor, police said. They didn't yet have information on exactly how the crash occurred other than the boy was a pedestrian or if the driver faced charges.
