Pop-Up Vaccine Site Coming To Brooklyn Church On Friday
The vaccine site will be set up at Mt. Ararat Baptist Church on the Crown Heights border.
CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — A pop-up coronavirus vaccination site will be open at a Brooklyn church on Friday, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced.
The Brooklyn site, coming to Mt. Ararat Baptist Church on Howard Avenue, is among 16 community-based facilities the state will open in churches, community centers, public housing complexes and cultural centers this week as part of its effort to bring vaccines to communities hardest-hit by the pandemic.
Since January, the state has set up more than 145 pop-up sites, which have given out 55,000 first doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
