Prospect Heights Homebrew Shop wins Homebrew shop of the year.
Bitter & Esters, New York City's only homebrew supply shop, has been named Homebrew Shop of the Year by the American Homebrew Association.

Bitter & Esters, New York City’s only homebrew supply shop, has been named Homebrew Shop of the Year by the American Homebrew Association at Homebrew Con 2019 in Providence, Rhode Island, June 27-29th, 2019.
The Homebrew Shop of the Year Award, presented each year at Homebrew Con, aims to recognize the integral role that homebrew shops play in any homebrewing community. The shops are judged on the following criteria: local homebrew community support, education, customer service and engagement, promotion of homebrewing to the public and responsible business practices. Over 120 homebrew shops from across America were nominated this year.
Bitter & Esters was chosen as Homebrew Shop of the Year from nominations by their loyal customers. Their focus on inclusivity, a thorough customer experience, community and end to end education were some of the reasons cited by the AHA governing committee.

With over 46,000 members, the American Homebrew Association (AHA) has been dedicated to promoting the community of homebrewers and empowering homebrewers to make the best beer in the world. Since 1978, the AHA has worked to educate people worldwide about the coolest hobby there is—homebrewing.
Every year Homebrew Con is the largest gathering of homebrewers in the Nation, with 70+ educational sessions, a Homebrew Expo, a Homebrew Club Night and a National Homebrew Contest.
