Prospect Park Sets Table For Picnic House Vendor
Have a good idea for a food or beverage stall in the park's Picnic House? Make a proposal and you could provision Long Meadow picnics.

PROSPECT HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — Prospect Park isn't just a great spot for a picnic — a hungry business could soon satisfy picnickers' appetites.
The park is looking for someone to set up shop in its Picnic House concession space, a Prospect Park Alliance release stated. It's a spot that opens up directly onto park's Long Meadow, a favorite spot for outdoor dining, dogs and events.
The Alliance wants to expand food options in the park, with an emphasis on "interesting, affordable, seasonal and healthy food," the release states.

Their request for proposals asks for a three-year term, a fee offer and stipulates that alcoholic beverages can be sold so long as consumption stays within a cordoned area.
Planners will hold an April 2 pre-proposal meeting at the Prospect Park Picnic House at 2 pm. Proposals must be submitted by May 7.
