Rain or Shine—Unless There's a 20-Piece Orchestra Involved

In rare move, Celebrate Brooklyn! reschedules Aug. 8 screening of 'Beasts of the Southern Wild.'

'Rain or Shine' has been a feature of Celebrate Brooklyn! since its beginning, and many a summer evening, the Prospect Park Bandshell is surrounded by thousands of sopping music fans braving it out.

However, when there's a 20-piece orchestra involved, things change.

The screening of 'Beasts of the Southern Wild,' accompanied by a live orchestra performing the world premier of an original score, has been rescheduled for Sunday night.

"While Celebrate Brooklyn! performances are, as a rule, presented rain or shine, BRIC has made the rare decision to reschedule this unique event due to its particular staging, including a 20-piece orchestra which is not covered by the stage," said  Jack Walsh, the executive producer of Celebrate Brooklyn!

The event will take place Sunday, August 11 at 8 p.m., gates open at 7 p.m.
