Report: Axe Body Spray Sends Sixth-Graders To Hospital

Mega-shot of deodorant does a number on classroom.

Ten students at Medgar Evers College Prep in Crown Heights were sent for medical treatment after a student unleashed a torrent of Axe Body Spray in a classroom Wednesday, the New York Daily News reported.

Eight students were taken to area hospitals and two were taken to family physicians, according to the report, after a student unloaded a can of the strong-smelling deodorant into a sixth-grade classroom.

Emergency crews were initially called to the scene, told only that there was a "hazardous odor," before discovering it was just a mega-dose of Axe.

According to the paper, there were no serious injuries as a result of the spraying.
