Tom Sachs: Boombox Retrospective, 1999-2016. 4/21-8/14

The exhibition features eighteen works that highlight the artist's ability to inventively transform ordinary, everyday materials into art.

Come and experience the transformed Brooklyn Museum's Rubin Pavilion into a living sound system through an installation of eighteen sculptural boom boxes. Hovering somewhere between art and science, functional and mythological.  The boom boxes will activate the Museum's entrance through a scheduled series of eclectic sound experiences curated by the artist and drawing from his own musical community and the rich history of music in Brooklyn.

Thursday 4/21 beginning at 7pm is when the exhibition will go "live". The evening is FREE and is hosted by Squarespace as part of Thursday Nights.
