Track Work To Stop Overnight A Trains In Brooklyn Next Week
Trains won't run between Jay Street-MetroTech and Utica Avenue on certain nights starting next week. A shuttle will be used instead.

BROOKLYN, NY — Track work on the A line will stop trains from stopping at night at a large swath of Brooklyn stations beginning next week, according to the MTA.
The track maintenance project, set to last a few months, will mean trains between Jay Street-MetroTech and Utica Avenue stations will be replaced with shuttle service during certain weeknights between 11:30 p.m. and 5 a.m.
The service change is slated to start next week, lasting from Monday March 29 through Friday, April 2.

Between those times, A trains will run in two sections: between 2017th Street and Jay Street-MetroTech and between Utica Avenue and Lefferts Boulevard-Mott Avenue. Free shuttle buses will make the stops between Jay Street and Utica Avenue.
The nighttime service changes will return again the week of April 5. Again, between 11:30 p.m. and 5 a.m. each night that week, shuttles will replace trains between Jay Street and Utica Avenue.

A service will also be interrupted on several weekends at stations deeper in Brooklyn.
Between April 2 and 5, and April 9 and 12, the trains will skip Liberty Avenue, Van Siclen Avenue and Shepherd Avenue stations between 11:15 p.m. and 5 a.m.
Straphangers can take the A train to Euclid Avenue and transfer to an Inwood-bound local A train to get to these stations during those times, the MTA said.
