CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — The latest attraction at the Brooklyn Children's Museum? A dose of the coronavirus vaccine.
The Brooklyn museum is one of several New York City family-friendly hotspots that will be set up with a coronavirus vaccination site in Mayor Bill de Blasio's latest push to get young New Yorkers to get the shot.
Starting Thursday, families who get a coronavirus vaccine at the children's museum will get free same-day entry and a family pass for another day, de Blasio said.

"This is a great way to make vaccination even more fun — make it something for the whole family and make the whole family safe," the mayor said.
Children between 12 and 15 years old became eligible to receive the two-dose Pfizer vaccine last week. As of Tuesday, about 20,000 of the teen and preteens had gotten vaccinated.

De Blasio has tried to drum up enthusiasm among those "Generation Z" youths and their parents.
The latest vaccine sites will also include the Coney Island Aquarium and the Bronx Zoo, where free tickets are also up for grabs. The city also has a vaccine site set up under the blue whale exhibit at the Natural History Museum.
