Video: Man Shot Twice on St. Johns Place in Weeksville, Police Say
The shooter was still at-large as of Tuesday, his victim in critical but stable condition, police said.

WEEKSVILLE, BROOKLYN — An at-large assailant shot a man twice outside 1280 St. Johns Pl. on Monday, police said.
The victim, identified by the NYPD as a 25-year-old male, was hit in the torso and right arm, and was taken by emergency responders to Kings County Hospital, where he was listed in critical but stable condition as of Tuesday morning.
After firing his weapon, the shooter ran east on St Johns Place toward Schenectady Avenue, police said. The shooting happened at about 3:15 p.m. on Dec. 26. The NYPD released the following video of the shooter fleeing the scene:

Detectives describe the assailant as a black male standing about five-feet-eight-inches tall and weighing 265 pounds. He has a heavy build, and was last seen wearing a green baseball hat, a black mask over his face, black pants, and a dark blue bubble jacket.

This shooting took place in the NYPD's 77th Precinct, which patrols Weeksville and the northern half of Crown Heights. Through Dec. 18, reported major crimes in the 77th were collectively down about 7 percent compared to the same period last year.
The precinct recorded 26 shootings with 31 victims through Dec. 18, compared to 31 shootings with 35 victims during the same period in 2015.
