4 Accused Of Running Brothel In Queens Airport Hotel: DA

Prosecutors said the group held three teenage girls against their will and forced them into prostitution at a JFK Airport hotel.

QUEENS, NY — Three men and a woman were arrested after authorities busted a brothel at a JFK Airport hotel where three teenage girls were being held against their will and forced to prostitute themselves, the Queens District Attorney's Office announced Thursday.

The four-person group is accused of holding the girls captive at the JFK Inn Hotel in June and threatening to kill them if they didn't have sex with men for money, according to prosecutors.

A grand jury indicted the four people — Tyrone "Angel" Miles, Bryant "Dollaz" Lowery, Luvasia Rodriguez and Khalil "Lil" Fryer — on charges of sex trafficking, kidnapping and promoting prostitution, among other crimes.

Authorities tracked them down after a 19-year-old girl managed to escape from the hotel and flagged down a passing police car, according to prosecutors.

"When people are forced into prostitution with threats and physical violence, it is our obligation as a city to hold the traffickers accountable," Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz said in a statement. "Thankfully, these young victims were able to escape to safety, but not before being held captive and having to endure the torment and cruelty of those who profited from the acts they were forced to perform.”
