Amazon Eyeing Queens For New Warehouse: Report
Amazon is looking at leasing a Maspeth site for a new distribution facility, according to Crain's.

MASPETH, QUEENS — Amazon's plan for a Long Island City headquarters may have fizzled, but the online retail behemoth may still expand in Queens, reports say.
The $1 trillion company is looking into leasing a former industrial site at 55-15 Grand Ave. in Maspeth for a new warehouse, sources familiar with the plans told Crain's.
An Amazon spokeswoman told Crain's they "have nothing confirmed" in Queens.

The news broke just days after sources told Crain's the company was considering renting up to a million square feet in Industry City in Brooklyn.
If Amazon seals the deal in Maspeth, the company would custom build a warehouse to store goods and deliver them within hours to New York City customers, according to Crain's.

The Maspeth facility would be the company's second fulfillment center in the borough.
Amazon will soon open one in Woodside at the site of the former Bulova Watches headquarters, which it bought last year for $25 million.
