Apple Jacks Cereal Box Hid Massive Cocaine Stash In Queens: NYPD
Two bad apples were busted in St. Albans for hiding a kilo of the white powder inside the sugary cereal box, police said.

ST. ALBANS, QUEENS -- Apple Jacks cereal was more than just a cinnamony part of a Queens duo's complete breakfast - It also served as their coverup for more than a kilo of cocaine.
The two bad apples face felony drug charges after cops poured bags of white powder out of the cereal box instead of sweet cinnamon in an early morning raid of one of the men's St. Albans home, police said.
Kenneth Nettles, 61, was arrested after detectives also found a large quantity of heroin, more than $5,000 in cash and a loaded Smith and Wesson handgun while searching his home on Troutville Road, police said.

Cops also busted Dakwan Alvin, a 24-year-old Hollis man, in the home after allegedly finding cocaine and a scale in his possession during the raid, an NYPD spokesman said.
Nittles was slapped with felony charges for criminal possession of cocaine and narcotics with intent to distribute and misdemeanor charges for criminal possession of controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, according to police and court records.

Alvin was charged with four felonies - two for criminal possession of cocaine and two for narcotics - and two misdemeanor charges for criminal possession of controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
Both men were arraigned Wednesday afternoon and released on their own recognizance. They are due back in court on Oct. 22.
The NYPD's 113th Precinct announced the bust on Twitter late Thursday night, posting a photo of the drugs, cash and the not-so-sugary box cereal box in question.
