Drug Lab Raid In Long Island City Nets 2, Reports Say

The raid targeted a high-rise on Center Boulevard, according to reports.

LONG ISLAND CITY, QUEENS – A raid on a suspected drug lab in Long Island City ended with two people being arrested, according to reports. Authorities believe the building was being used to make synthetic drugs.

Federal and state agents raided a high-rise building on Center Boulevard, the New York Post reported, citing the DEA.

Aerial footage by CBS New York showed law enforcement authorities in hazmat suits outside the building. It's unknown what type of drug they were looking for.

The suspected drug lab was housed at 4545 Center Blvd., according to the Daily News. Streeteasy.com describes the building as a 41-story luxury high-rise with loads of amenities.

The DEA did not immediately return a message from Patch requesting comment.
