Ex-Con Who Raped Queens Stepdaughters Jailed for 150 Years: DA
The Brooklyn man was sentenced Tuesday after abusing the two women for a decade and forcing them to bear eight of his kids, prosecutors say.

FAR ROCKAWAY, QUEENS -- Two Queens sisters' years-long nightmare of rape and abuse at the hands of their stepfather ended on Tuesday when the Brooklyn man was sentenced to 150 years in prison for the violent crimes, which began when the girls were just 12 and 14 years old.
In March, a Queens jury deliberated for just 30 minutes before they convicted Lorenzo Arline, 43, on multiple charges of rape against his two stepdaughters, who were forced to bear eight of his children over the decade he abused them, said Queens District Attorney Richard Brown.
“Today’s sentencing concludes an unbelievable case of sexual abuse at the hands of someone who should have been caring for and protecting these young girls," Brown said.

The nightmare began in 2005 when Arline, then 31, married the girls' mother and moved into their Far Rockaway home less than a year after he finished serving time for manslaughter in a Florida prison, court records show.
He soon began forcing his two stepdaughters, who were 11 and 14 at the time, to sleep naked in bed with him. By that March, Arline forced himself onto the 14-year-old girl and raped her, threatening to shove a coat hanger into her if she struggled, according to trial testimony.

Once, when the teen left home without permission, Arline ordered her to meet up with him on his way back from work. He proceeded to drag the girl by face-down across the concrete by her feet all the way home, where he violently beat and raped her, according to the testimony.
She would eventually be forced to have five of his children.
Prosecutors said Arline began raping his younger stepdaughter when she was just 12 years old, threatening to hurt her and ultimately impregnating her with three of his children.
The violence continued for a decade until Arline hit his eldest stepdaughter hard enough to break her tooth when she was 24, prosecutors said. The woman broke down and told an official at her child's school about the years of rape and abuse, who then notified police, Brown said.
Cops arrested Arline at his Brooklyn home, and he was later convicted on six counts of first-degree rape and one count of second-degree rape. A judge sentenced him to 150 years in prison to ensure he "spend the rest of his life behind bars," Brown said.
The lengthy sentence, and the 15 years of probation that would follow, are likely a result of Arline's violent criminal past.
Before he moved to New York City, Arline lived in Jacksonville, Florida, when he was convicted of manslaughter with a firearm and burglary in September 1995, records show. He was sentenced to 14-and-a-half years in a state prison for the crimes, but only served 9 before his release in 2004.
"Hopefully, the victims in this case can find some solace in knowing their abuser will never hurt another child again,” Brown said.
