JFK Airport's Busiest Travel Day Of The Summer Is This Weekend
More than 100,000 flyers are expected to pass through the airport on its busiest travel days. Here are the best times to fly out.

QUEENS, NY -- If you're flying out of the John F. Kennedy International Airport this weekend, you may want to give yourself a bit of extra travel time to brave the crowds, according to a report that found July 14 to be the airport's busiest travel day of the summer.
The airport's TSA expects to see more than 100,000 flyers pass through security on its busiest day this summer, which could be this Saturday if last summer repeats itself, according to AirHelp, a flyer rights company.
AirHelp's study found more than 9 million people flew out of JFK on over 65,000 flights between Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends in 2017. JFK had its busiest travel day on July 14, making it the ninth busiest airport across the country that summer, the study found.

JFK confirmed on Twitter Thursday that it was busier than usual with summer flyers, though the airport didn't single out a specific date. Airport TSA advised flyers to arrive two hours before departure for domestic flights and three hours early for international travels.
Two things we know for sure: it's warmer & we're in the busy travel season here at @JFKairport. That said, getting through security lines will require more time so please arrive early. Per the @TSA, get to #JFK 2 hrs prior to domestic & 3 hrs prior to international departures. pic.twitter.com/1pBOeCVF7B

Newark Liberty Airport in New Jersey was also in last summer's list of busiest airports - coming in one below JFK at No. 10 - and its busiest day of the season could be coming up soon. The airport last year saw it's most flyers of the summer on July 20.
