Meet The Baby Named After The Long Island Expressway
The girl's parents named her after the road on which she was born.

QUEENS, NY – At least she isn't called Queens Midtown Tunnel. A baby born outside the entrance to Manhattan before her parents could reach a hospital has been named after the road on which she entered the world – the Long Island Expressway.
Little "Alie" surprised her mom, dad and MTA officers by making her appearance long before her parents managed to race to Bellevue Hospital from their home in Middle Village in Queens, the New York Post first reported.
“We named her for where she was born,” her dad, Ivan Albarracin, told the newspaper.

Albarracin had brought his car to a stop when he reached the tunnel around 3:15 p.m., and realized his daughter wasn't going to wait any longer. He summoned Bridge and Tunnel ffficers and asked them to help his wife, Maria.
“I could see the baby’s face,” he told the Post. “[Maria] yelled, ‘Too late! Its too late!’ She pushes three times, and the baby came out.”
