NYC Subway Delays: 2 Lines Halted By Train Problem
Service was back to normal after 8 a.m., but the kerfuffle still caused delays on four lines.

NEW YORK, NY — Problems with a work train halted subway service on two lines Tuesday morning, causing delays to ripple through the rush hour. The train with mechanical problems in Midtown Manhattan stopped N and W trains from running between Lexington Avenue-53rd Street and Queensboro Plaza, the MTA said.
An MTA spokesman said normal service had resumed just after 8 a.m. But the transit agency still warned of delays on the N, Q, R and W trains because of the kerfuffle.
Southbound N and Q trains were rerouted on the local track from 57th Street-7th Avenue to Canal Street while workers removed the work train, according to the MTA.
