NYPD Harbor Patrol Rescues Dog From Jamaica Bay
The dog, named Tinkerbell, was reunited with her owner safe and sound.

QUEENS, NY — The NYPD Harbor Patrol rescued a dog struggling to stay afloat in Jamaica Bay on Wednesday morning and got her back to her owner safe and sound.
Officers were patrolling the bay about 10 a.m. when they spotted the dog in the water, the NYPD said in a tweet.
They pulled the dog from the water, wrapped her up and brought her to a veterinarian for a checkup.

The dog, named Tinkerbell, was reunited with her owner later that day.
"Thanks to our Harbor members for making this reunion paw-ssible," the NYPD Special Operations team said in a tweet.
