Queens College Appoints California Law Professor As New President
Frank H. Wu will be the first Asian American to serve as Queens College president, according to a news release.

KEW GARDENS HILLS, QUEENS — Frank H. Wu, a professor at University of California Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco, will serve as the next president of Queens College.
The CUNY Board of Trustees voted unanimously Monday to appoint Wu as the eleventh president of Queens College, according to a news release. He will assume the new role starting July 1.
Wu is the first Asian American to serve as Queens College president and the first Asian American to serve as president of any CUNY college in Queens, according to Queens College officials.

Wu holds a bachelor's degree in writing from Johns Hopkins University and a law degree from University of Michigan Law School.
Wu succeeds Queens College Interim President William Tramontano, who has led the college in since his predecessor, Felix V. Matos Rodriguez, was appointed chancellor of CUNY in June 2019.
