A 75-year-old Queens man died in a car crash just blocks from the spot where his wife was hit earlier this year, the Daily News reported.

KEW GARDENS HILLS, QUEENS — A 75-year-old Queens man was killed in a car crash this weekend, blocks away from the spot where his wife was hit just months before, according to a news report.
Elou Rakhminov, a retired watch repairman who lived in Kew Gardens Hills, was crossing Jewel Avenue by 141st Street on Saturday evening when a driver slammed into him, according to police and a New York Daily News report.
EMS rushed him to NewYork-Presbyterian Queens, where he died.

The deadly crash happened exactly seven months after Rakhminov's wife, Tamara, was hit at Jewel Avenue and 147th Street, the couple's daughter told the Daily News.
She is still recovering from a broken leg caused by the crash, according to the Daily News.

The couple lives just a few blocks away from the Jewel Avenue intersections where drivers injured one of them and killed the other, according to information released by the NYPD.
