EAST ELMHURST, QUEENS — A Queens teenager faces charges of supporting a foreign terrorist organization for plotting a violent attack in the name of ISIS, court records show.

FBI agents arrested the 19-year-old East Elmhurst resident Thursday as he went to pick up a knife and tactical gear he'd ordered online, after he told an undercover law enforcement agent that he wanted to carry out a stabbing or bombing in Queens on behalf of the Islamic State.

The teen, Awais Chudhary, told the undercover agent in a series of texts that he planned to stage attacks on a pedestrian bridge over the Grand Central Parkway to the Flushing Bay Promenade and at the World's Fair Marina.

Over several days, he sent the undercover agent details on his plans and said he would commit the attack "very soon," according to the complaint filed in the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of New York.

"There's no doubt Chudhary allegedly wanted to make headlines by attacking innocent people going about their daily lives," FBI Assistant Director-in-Charge William Sweeney said in a statement.
