Trump Supporters To Rally In Queens This Weekend
Supporters plan to show their love for the president at Maspeth Memorial Square on Saturday, according to a Facebook event for the rally.

MASPETH, QUEENS -- A group of President Donald Trump's Queens-based supporters plans to show their love for the commander in chief with a rally in the heart of Maspeth just in time for local election season.
Self-proclaimed "MAGA (Make America Great Again) Queens Patriots" will gather outside Maspeth Federal Savings Bank on 69th Street near Grand Avenue to show their support for Trump and his agenda on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., according to a Facebook event for the rally and permits issued by the NYPD.
The event, co-organized by Karina Moreno, of Maspeth and Tom Zmich, of Bayside, will also be dedicated to supporting other mid-term election candidates in line with Trump's policies, according to the Facebook event. The description proceeds to list a series of hashtags ranging from #RedWave and #Pro-America to #Dump-Cuomo and #Dump-Deblasio.

Zmich told the Queens Ledger the life-sized "Maspeth Is America" mural at Maspeth Memorial Square inspired him and Moreno to organize a rally for Trump supporters to unite in a positive way.
“What better place is there to hold a rally to support us as Americans, that we need to be united?” he told the newspaper.

Moreno declined to comment on the event, but sent Patch a link to a Facebook post that said the rally would take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., followed immediately by a party until 4 p.m.
Zmich did not immediately return Patch's request for comment.
Of the more than 350 people invited to attend the rally on Facebook, 16 had confirmed their attendance by Friday. Another 92 invitees said they were "interested" in going.
