'Santas' To The Rescue After Stabbing On LIRR Train
SantaCon revelers rushed to the aid of the victim and subdued the attacker Saturday evening, witnesses say. See video inside.

QUEENS, NY – A man was arrested after a stabbing Saturday evening on the Long Island Rail Road, and witnesses say a group of "Santas" restrained the attacker and came to the aid of the victim.
A 45-year-old man stabbed a 22-year-old man in the leg minutes after the 5:55 p.m train left Penn Station for Babylon, PIX 11 reported.
The train was full of people dressed in festive outfits on their way home from the annual SantaCon. Video of the aftermath of the stabbing shows numerous "Santas" struggling with the stabbing suspect.

The person who posted the video on Twitter wrote: "just so everyone’s clear the guys in the santa costumes did not start this. the old drunk man enticing them did."
The "Santas" also rushed to help the 22-year-old victim, who was taken to Elmhurst Hospital, NBC 4 reported.

The stabbing was not SantaCon-related, and neither the suspect nor the victim was wearing Santa gear, Metropolitan Transportation Authority officials told the Daily News.
