Sleep At Citi Field In This Decked-Out Airbnb For $250
The one-night stay at Citi Field, which is hosted by Bobby Bonilla, comes with tickets to a Mets doubleheader, unlimited snacks, and more.

FLUSHING, QUEENS — If sitting through a nine-plus inning baseball game isn’t enough time at Citi Field for you, consider sleeping at the stadium this July.
Four New York Mets fans will have a one-time chance to book a one-night July 28 stay in a decked-out Citi Field Airbnb for $250 — a price tag that comes with a two-bed, one-bath suite overlooking the ballpark, plus tickets to two back-to-back games against the Atlanta Braves, the chance to throw an opening pitch, Mets swag, and unlimited stadium snacks.
Booking opens at noon on July 8 on a first-come, first-served basis, but Airbnb released details about the stay on July 1 in honor of the room’s host, former Mets player Bobby Bonilla. Among Mets fans, the first of July is an unofficial holiday dubbed “Bobby Bonilla Day,” where the beloved player receives $1.19 million every year until 2035 as part of a contract negotiated in 2000.

“This year, I’m joining in on the fun, trying on a new glove as an Airbnb Host and hopefully giving a few folks the night of their lives at Citi Field,” said Bonilla in a news statement.
The player will virtually welcome the four guests to their stay at Citi Field upon arrival, at which point the concierge will “ensure you have everything you need — from supplying you with unlimited Cracker Jack and batting helmets filled with ice cream, to coordinating your turn on the mound and more,” reads the Airbnb listing.

In addition to watching the Mets’ doubleheader against the Braves and chowing down on unlimited snacks, the four guests will have free rein over the Mets gym, where they can go for a workout and shower, according to the Airbnb listing.
Guests will also meet Mr. and Mrs. Met and take home customized Mets jerseys and used signed baseballs — the exact kinds of memorabilia that adorn the walls of the Citi Field suite.
Photos of the Airbnb show that the suite is adorned with Mets paraphernalia, like hats, gloves, and wall hangings. Plus, the whole place is decorated in the team’s signature orange and blue colors.
Bonilla, who was born and raised in the Bronx, says “there is a special place in my heart for Mets fans. It’s wonderful to see the faithful back in some green seats in Queens,” he added.
As of mid-June, the stadium has reopened to its full 42,000 seat capacity for the first time since the start of the pandemic — during which point it functioned as a mass vaccination site.
