With schools and colleges closed, and a growing number of area business and entertainment spots temporarily shutting their doors, reducing staff or allowing employees to work from home, many people are turning to outdoor activities to ward off boredom and get some exercise.

Residents should remember that while visiting public parks, beaches or other types of outdoor recreational facilities, social distancing still plays a critical role in stopping the spread of the
Coronavirus. Therefore, it is best to avoid crowded areas, sports activities that require close bodily contact and play areas with large numbers of children.
