This family friendly fun museum is a place to be. From hands-on exhibit to a variety of fun activities for kids, this is most go in the summer. Kids have a chance to experience a huge collection of video games, toys, dolls, historical artifacts and objects related to playing. Some of the hands on exhibit include: Field of Play. This exhibit involves a lot of climbing, jumping and pulling. it is usually beneficial for kids with high energy that need to tire out. Another fun exhibit is the Wegmans Super Kids Market, a tone down imitation of the real Wegmans store. You know how Rochesterians love their Wegmans!!! This exhibit attracts a lot of visitors from teens to adults. kids are able to act as store employees by stocking shelfs, running cash registers and scanning items. This place is super fun and worth hanging out with family and loved ones.

This one big hidden gem in Rochester. This historical site was home to one of the pioneer American civil rights leader Susan B Anthony. She was famous for getting arrested after voting in 1872. She died at the age of 86 after her “ Failure is Impossible speech. The house now serves as a museum giving tours to inspire people to be difference makers in the world. It also preserves artifacts, journals and books related to her life and work. A great place to go whether you like history or not.

The Rochester public market known for its cheap produce is definitely worth the visit in the summer. With a huge selection of vendors to choose from, there are a variety of products available for everyone. It is opened on Tuesday, Thursday 6:00 a.m to 1:00 p.m and on Saturday from 5:00 a.m to 3:00 p.m. Following an 8.5 million renovation and multiple shed expansions, you can’t go wrong with visiting this market. From savory baked goods to fresh produce straight from the farm, this place is a must go for families.

As one of the oldest parks in America, Seabreeze is a top fun destination in Rochester NY. This park can be classified as a combination of a modern water park and a traditional amusement park. This family owned park has a lot of history to it as it is the 12th oldest amusement park in the world. One of its famous ride called the Jack Rabbit is one of the oldest operating roller coaster in North America till this day. The lines in park is short compared to the huge regular amusement park and the food here is also cheap with sugar waffles being the most popular food in this park. I encourage all visitors to stop by Seabreeze and enjoy one of America’s oldest amusement park this summer.

Eastview mall in Rochester is a must see. This clean, well kept, upscale mall is pretty much the best in the area. With a large variety of retail outlets and assorted food, this mall should be on your to-do-list this summer. Though the prices may seem a little steep, I promise you whatever you buy from any retail store is worth the price. This is an overall great place to be If you are looking to shop or sightsee.

6. Minor League Baseball? Check out Frontier Field

The Frontier Field ballpark is home to the Rochester Red Wings. This minor league baseball team plays in the international league and is currently affiliated with the Minnesota Twins in the Major League. With affordable tickets for family and friends, this is a must do in Rochester. The team draws a huge crowd to their games because they are that good. The seating areas are pretty amazing with great view of the baseball players. I definitely recommend visiting this place in the summer as it is a great place to watch baseball with your family, meet up with friends and enjoy good food.
