A New York village where the median home price is just $125,050 has been named one of America's 10 Hottest Neighborhoods.

Homes for sale in the North Winton Village neighborhood of Rochester aren't on the market for long– a median of just 17 days, well below the national average of 56 days.

Take a look at what the village has to offer and combine that with a median home price of $125,050 and it's easy to see why realtor.com has named North Winton as one of America's 10 Hottest Neighborhoods for 2019.

The North Winton Village area is the cheapest ZIP code on the list.

"Young buyers are looking for affordability, and that's why they're flocking to this ZIP code," says Danielle Hale realtor.com's chief economist. "Plus, there are plenty of jobs in the medical and education industries."

Handy folks can pick up a nearly century-old, single-family home for under $500,000. But plenty of move-in ready abodes abound for less than $100,000. This four-bedroom, one-bath house with a wood-burning fireplace and fenced backyard is listed at $94,000.

The median price for the entire city of Rochester, where Kodak was founded in 1888, isn't too bad either, at a still-pretty-low $146,900.

North Winton Village is made up of spacious and quiet residential streets, small essential businesses and professional services and an 82-acre wilderness park, according to the city's website. This attractive urban village equation allows for tree-lined streets, well-maintained single family homes and half doubles, and an active engaged community whose mission is to maintain a “positive neighborhood vision in redevelopment.”

If you aren't a fan of snow, though, North Winton, near the shores of Lake Ontario, probably isn't for you. Rochester averages 77 inches of snow per year.

Realtor.com's top 10 hottest ZIPs is led by Grand Rapids, Michigan, followed by Omaha, Nebraska, and Boise, Idaho.

To determine which ZIP codes were the hottest, realtor.com looked at 16,000 ZIP codes from January to June to figure out which had the most page views and fewest days on the market, as well as median home list prices, mortgages, demographics, income and other statistics. Read about it here.
