Public Meeting On East Main Street Improvement Project Postponed

A virtual public informational meeting was scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday, June 4, to discuss the pending street improvement project.

(Wednesday, June 3, 2020) — A virtual public informational meeting that was scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday, June 4, to discuss the pending street improvement project on East Main Street has been postponed and will be rescheduled for a later date.

The meeting will include a presentation of final design updates since the January 23 public meeting. The project extends from North Goodman Street to Culver Road and includes pavement reconstruction, new curbs, curb ramps, sidewalks, one-way cycle tracks, driveway aprons, catch basins, street lighting, trees, traffic signals, pavement markings, signage and other streetscape enhancements. In addition, a new water main and water services are included in the project.

The upcoming meeting will be held on an Internet meeting platform and also be accessible through a toll-free telephone number. Details on how to participate in the meeting, along with instructions on how to review physical copies of project designs prior to the meeting, will be mailed to resident stakeholders and posted on the project web page at cityofrochester.gov/eastmainst.
