Rochester City Clerk’s Office To Hold Virtual Vending Lottery

The City Clerk's Office has scheduled a virtual Vending Lottery for all solicitors who are interested in operating food carts.

In keeping with Governor Cuomo’s Executive Order 202 suspending all open meetings, the City Clerk’s Office has scheduled a virtual Vending Lottery for all solicitors who are interested in operating food carts in Rochester’s center city in 2021. The virtual Vending Lottery will take place via a Zoom conference at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2020.

To participate in the lottery, potential vendors must submit a completed Cart Vendor Application to the Clerk’s Licensing Office no later than 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2020. No applications will be accepted after this deadline.

Submitted applications must include the following:• Current email address• License fee• Monroe County health permit (covering the period Jan. 1 – Dec. 31, 2021)• Insurance certificate (covering the period Jan. 1 – Dec. 31, 2021)Applications can be filed Monday – Friday at the Clerk’s Licensing Office, located in Room 100A at City Hall, 30 Church St., between the hours of 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. All individuals with completed applications will receive an email containing an invitation link to the Zoom conference that will enable them to participate.
