2 Injured In Overturn Crash In Bohemia
One driver became trapped in the SUV after it overturned in the crash Wednesday morning.

BOHEMIA, NY - Two people were hospitalized after an overturn crash in Bohemia on Wednesday morning.
The crash was reported on Sycamore Avenue shortly before 9 a.m. A 51-year-old man was driving a 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe southbound on Sycamore Avenue, making a left turn into a parking lot, when his vehicle struck a northbound 2017 Hyundai SUV.
Members of the Bohemia Fire Department responded and found the Chevrolet was overturned with the driver still trapped inside.

The vehicle was stabilized and multiple Hurst cutters were used to remove the roof of the SUV that was on its side to remove the driver.
The Community Ambulance Company transported two people to local hospitals. The driver of the Chevrolet was taken to Long Island Community Hospital in Patchogue. The driver of the Hyundai was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Suffolk Police responded and shut down Sycamore Avenue for a short time so responders could operate safely. The road was reopened by 9:45 a.m.
