At a recent board of education meeting, Bayport-Blue Point School District honored 11th grader Emily Clayton, who was recognized by the Region-at-Large program of the 2021 Scholastic Art and Writing Awards for her poetry. She received an honorable mention for her poem “to speak with eloquence” and a Gold Key award for her poem “what i know (for now),” advancing it to the national level of adjudication.
