Closed Sayville American Cheese Restaurant Opens For Catering

SAYVILLE, NY— Local favorite restaurant American Cheese closed this summer but the gourmet cheeses the eatery was known for will be available for holiday platters. The downtown Sayville restaurant created dishes based on a wide variety of types of cheeses until it shuttered after ten years during the coronavirus pandemic.

The new holiday gourmet cheese platters are available by order on American Cheese's Facebook page. The "Cheesemonger's Choice Platter" contains three cheeses, a brie, a cheddar a balsamic-soaked Parmesan. Other sides can be added to order like homemade crostini, marinated olives or a fig and honey spread.

Orders for Thanksgiving must be placed by November 22 and will be delivered the day before the holiday, within ten miles of Sayville.
