Girls Field Hockey, Volleyball Teams Win County Championships
Congratulations to both teams who were both named Suffolk County champions recently.
BAYPORT-BLUE POINT, NY - Both the Bayport-Blue Point girls varsity field hockey team and volleyball team earned Suffolk County Championship titles recently.
Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter, Councilwoman Mary Kate Mullen, along with members of the Town Board, recognized the members of the team for winning the county championships in both sports recently.
This was the second consecutive win for the women's volleyball team, and the first for the field hockey team.

Mullen, whose daughter plays on the field hockey team, said the 1-0 win for the title was a nail biter.
"We are so proud of you here within the Town of Islip, and I know the whole Bayport-Bluepoint community is extremely proud," she said. "You have brought on a whole new era of young girls who want to play field hockey."
