The local communities already raised thousands of dollars for the couple who sadly lost their child this month. Find out how you can help.

SAYVILLE-BAYPORT, NY — The Sayville-Bayport community came together to help a local family who tragically lost their 4-month-old daughter this month.
Reilly Edith Ramsbotham unexpectedly died this past Easter weekend, leaving parents Brendan and Kait Ramsbotham devastated. After hearing the news, their friend, Jared Davis, of Bayport, started to think of how he could help.
"This is an overwhelming loss that no parent should endure," he stated.

Davis met Brendan over three years ago when the two started working together. Since then he became a very close friend to the couple.
When he heard about the death of Reilly, it hit very close to home for him — not just because of his friends, but because of his own 6-month-old daughter.

"We always talked about sharing the joys of raising children together," Davis said. "Brendan's one of the most incredible guys you will ever meet and Kait is the Lois Lane to his Superman, just an incredible duo. To see them so destroyed by this is overwhelming."
When he began his fundraising efforts, Davis quickly received support from the local community, as well as the nearby communities of Sayville and Islip — where Kait and Brendan grew up, respectively.
During the funeral for Reilly was held in Center Moriches, Davis said there was an "amazing show of support" for the couple.
But Davis wanted to do more. So he started a GoFundMe to help collect donations to help the Ramsbothams. In less than two weeks, the page has well exceeded its goal of $15,000, raising a total of $28,363.
"I couldn't believe how quickly it took off and how it continues to do so," he said.
The money will go towards the costs of service, meals, and any other financial support for the couple during this difficult time.
"I've seen this community have a lot of instances where your neighbor or neighbor's neighbor needed a hand and typically this is when these communities come together and help one another."
In addition to the GoFundMe, one of Kait's friends, Kristin Elbert, started a page on the website Meal Train, to allow people to donate to the family. That fundraiser also well exceeded its goal of $6,000, raising $22,440.
