SUFFOLK COUNTY, NY - After all the votes were in, the race for Suffolk County's 8th district legislator was too close to call. However, incumbent William Lindsay III is still holding out hope.

According to the unofficial results, challenger Anthony Piccirillo received 9,130 votes and while Lindsay received 8,907 votes.

But the race isn't over yet. This week the Suffolk County Boards of Elections will be counting the absentee ballots to get the final count. Lindsay says there are still over 700 absentee and affidavits votes left to be counted, which could sway the results.
